This concert which took place in 1993 in Bremen , Germany consist of two compositions, SWIM and MAGIC SCULPTURES STRIPE THE AIR BREATHLESS.
With a mighty assist from the Deutschen Philharmonie of Bremen, the Art Ensemble of Chicago digs into their bag of musical tricks and presents an amazing display of Afro- tinged avant-garde jazz performances.
Lester Bowie, Malachi Favors, Joseph Jarman, Roscoe Mitchell and Don Moye have merged their individual souls into a greater collective, adopting the motto "Great Black Music; Ancient to the Future". They have put forth their soulfulness and experimentation and radical commentary in face paint, costumes, and unique instruments as they explore musical frontiers.
